Version 1.0 (1)
The following bill, collection and sharing information describes version 1.0 (1).
Your data
Names, amounts and assigned extras are used for the calculation on your device. The app has no saved bill history.
Collection and advertising
The app has no account, advertising or analytics service. Your entries are not sent to a developer-operated server.
Sharing and clipboard
Copy and Share send the selected summary to the clipboard or the destination you choose. Clipboard synchronization and the receiving service follow your device settings and that service’s privacy practices.

Your bill and remembered tax rate
Bill entries, including names, amounts, assigned items, restaurant fees and selected contact details, stay in the current bill’s memory and are not restored after the app is terminated. The app has no saved bill history. Your chosen tax percentage is saved on your device to fill in next time. You can change it; clearing the tax-rate field clears the remembered rate. Fee entries and bill recipients are not saved for next time.
Optional Contacts picker
You can add people manually. Add from Contacts opens Apple’s picker so you can choose one person’s phone number. SplitEven uses the selected person’s name and chosen phone number. A contact identifier and a normalized form of the chosen number are also held with the current bill. SplitEven does not request full address-book access, read the address book in the background or upload contacts to a developer-operated server.
Messages, sharing and clipboard
Review text opens a native Messages draft initially addressed to one selected number, with that person’s breakdown and the bill total. You can review and edit the draft. It is sent only if you tap Send in the native composer; SplitEven does not send texts automatically. Messages, carriers and recipients follow their own privacy practices.
