Your data
ProofScale saves formula names and measurements in a file on your iPhone. When an edit is interrupted, the app tries to save its unsaved inputs in a separate local file for resuming after relaunch. An unsaved edit is not a saved formula. Formula and edit files may be included in operating-system or device backups, depending on your settings.
Recovery copies
If a saved file cannot be read, ProofScale leaves it in place until you choose what to do. Starting fresh keeps a separate copy of the unreadable file. Restoring a valid recovery copy also keeps the file it replaces. These copies stay on your device and may be included in your device backups. An invalid copy can be exported but not restored.
Collection and advertising
The app has no account, advertising, analytics or app backend. It does not automatically upload formulas, edits or recovery files to a ProofScale service.
Sharing and export
Exporting an unreadable saved file, an interrupted edit or a recovery copy requires you to choose a destination in the iPhone share sheet. A shared file may contain formula names and measurements. The destination you choose has its own privacy practices.
Support
Email support@webassethouse.com. If you write to support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond. The app does not send a recovery file to support automatically.
