ProofScale
Scale a bread formula using baker's percentages. ProofScale counts flour and water already inside a starter, then shows the amounts left to weigh. It can also account for extra ingredients. The finished dough weight includes the starter once.
Saving a formula
Tap New or open a saved formula, edit its inputs, then tap Save formula. Formula names and measurements are saved on your iPhone. Delete requires a separate confirmation.
If you leave the app with an unsaved edit, ProofScale tries to keep that edit separately so you can resume it after relaunch. An unsaved edit is not a saved formula: choose Save formula before relying on it. If the interrupted edit cannot be kept, the editor shows an error.
File recovery
If the saved formula file cannot be read, ProofScale offers to share the original file or start fresh after confirmation. Starting fresh retains a copy of the unreadable file on the device. Recovery copies can be exported through the iPhone share sheet. A valid copy can be restored after a replacement warning; an invalid copy remains exportable but cannot be restored.
ProofScale does not send files to support automatically. A recovery file may contain formula names and measurements, so choose its recipient carefully.
